all purpose spray
Glass spray bottle
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 3/4 cups water
30 drops doTERRA essential oil (see suggestions below)
A squirt of natural dish washing liquid
Some recommended oil combinations include:
15 drops each of Lavender and Lemon + 1 drop clove
10 drops each of Eucalyptus, Peppermint, and Wild Orange + 1 drop clove
15 drops each Eucalyptus, Tea Tree + 1 drop clove
Directions: Add all ingredients to spray bottle. Shake thoroughly before each use.
Note: One drop of clove will keep mould from growing. I have found citrus oils and frankincense easily clog the trigger, so reducing the amount or totally avoiding these is a good idea.
Container for washing powder
1 bar natural soap
1 cup washing soda
1 cup bi carb soda
1/2 cup salt
1/4 cup citric acid
20-30 drops doTERRA essential oils ( I love to use doTERRA Purify)
Directions: Grate or blitz soap bar to fine powder, then add everything else and blitz.
Use a heaped tablespoon per load.
foaming hand/body wash
Foaming pump bottle
3 parts water
1 part liquid castile soap (unscented)
10 drops essential oils of choice
Directions: Slowly add water into bottle, then add castile soap making sure to leave room for the foaming pump. Add essential oil. Add lid and shake, and it’s ready to use.
Essential oils to try: Peppermint & Melaleuca (Tea Tree), On Guard blend, Lemon & Geranium, Lavender & Lemon, Wild Orange & Grapefruit.
Note: Liquid castile soap is a vegetable-based soap commonly found in health food stores. Dr. Bronner’s is a popular one. Look for unscented. Avoid Citrus oils if using plastic to advoid the nozel clogging.
